Have you heard of Periscope?
It's a new video streaming app owned by Twitter that allows you to broadcast live video right from your mobile phone to anywhere in the world. Users of the app can also like and comment on videos while they are being broadcasted live.
Once the broadcast is over, Periscope allows anyone to view it for up to 24 hours before it's gone. It's only been around for a few months now but it's already accumulated over 2 million users and if you logon to the app you'll see hundreds of scopes taking place at every hour of the day.
We just recently joined Periscope! So if you use the app, give us a follow @ZenFloatCo.
We were first turned on to Periscope by one of our customers, Jeremy Lopez, after he did a broadcast in front if his Zen Float Tent a few months ago. We loved it so much, we decided to partner with him last night for our first official scope!
Being an online company, we don't always get the chance to meet each and everyone of our customers. Majority lie out of state and all over the world. But we loved the idea that Periscope allows us to connect with them anywhere, at any given moment!
Last night we officially hosted our first Periscope broadcast with our co-founder Shane and Jeremy. We've included a replay of the scope's below to give you an idea of how it works. Shane was scoping from his home in Salt Lake City, Utah while Jeremy was scoping from his home in Corpus Christi, Texas. It's pretty amazing that technology even allows us to do this!
Shane starts off the scope on the Zen Float Co Channel:
Jeremy Lopez Kicks off the second half of the scope talking about floating, the zen float tent, and answering questions about floating.
And don't forget to follow us and Join us LIVE on our next Periscope broadcast!
